Cutting-Edge Regenerative Therapy in Austin, TX

Regenerative Therapy

Have you tried every treatment option in the book, but nothing seems to be working? Are you tired of going from one type of treatment to another without experiencing any health benefits? If you’ve been affected by an injury or chronic condition, you know how difficult it can be to achieve pain-relieving results that last.

At Advanced Physical Medicine at Bell District, we are pleased to offer regenerative therapy, an advanced medical treatment that has been shown to alleviate the symptoms of even the most stubborn ailments.

Regenerative Therapy Explained

Regenerative therapy is a cutting-edge technique that incorporates the injection of platelet rich plasma (PRP) to encourage the repair of damaged tissue. This advanced medical process treats a variety of stubborn health problems, including knee pain, meniscus tearing, ligament and tendon damage, and more.

The treatment was invented by studying the incredible ability of the human body to heal itself using PRP. When injected into the affected area, these cells can promote healing from the inside out.

An injection consists of your own body tissue - your own plasma - that is collected and concentrated into a solution. We then inject that potent solution into your injured or degenerated area because strong evidence suggests that these cells signal other cells to gather at the site of the injury to assist with healing.

What to Expect from the Treatment Process

Regenerative medicine works by engaging the natural recovery response of the body. A single regenerative therapy injection consists of an array of healthy pluripotent cells.

A regenerative therapy injection is a simple outpatient procedure that is administered similarly to a cortisol or steroid shot. Your medical professional will use a guided ultrasound to determine the exact location of your injection with pinpoint accuracy. The injection is minimally invasive and the entire process typically takes less than half an hour. Many patients begin to experience relief from their pain within 48 hours.

Top Conditions Treated With Regenerative Therapy

Many common health conditions can be treated with regenerative therapy. Most of our patients take advantage of our regenerative treatments for relief from chronic knee pain, joint pain (especially in the ankles and hips), meniscus tears, and shoulder pain or injuries. If you’re unsure if you could benefit from regenerative medicine, contact our team for a complimentary injury evaluation.

The Benefits of Regenerative Therapy Injections

Regenerative therapy injections help our patients live pain-free and get back to engaging in activities and pastimes that they love. Recipients of these injections can benefit from decreased inflammation, enhanced mobility in the affected area, and lasting pain relief. Regenerative therapy is also a minimally invasive procedure that boasts a reduced recovery time compared to surgeries that are meant to achieve similar results.

Determining Your Candidacy

Regenerative therapy can help you alleviate your pain from many chronic conditions. However, not everyone may be a good candidate for the procedure. It is often the last medical option before resorting to surgery, so it’s a good idea to confer with your doctor before making a final decision. Our team is more than happy to walk you through the finer aspects of regenerative medicine and assist you in determining your candidacy.

Regenerative therapy is not typically covered by insurance. However, we offer flexible financing options that can make it much easier to reap the benefits of the injections. For more information on our affordable payment plans, contact our office.
